In a reorganization of its senior management, Nielsen Media Research Monday promoted Sara Erichson to the post of general manger of national services.
Erichson, whose promotion is effective Jan. 1, currently is senior vice president of sales and marketing for national services. In her new role, she will be in charge of all of Nielsen’s national TV-measurement services and will report to Nielsen president Susan Whiting.
Erichson succeeds Dave Thomas, who Monday was named senior VP of strategy and business development, and Scott Springer, who was just appointed GM of operations.
Thomas and Springer, who continue to report to Whiting, had been serving as co-GMs of the national business unit on a temporary basis since 2002.
