Nielsen Media Research told its clients Wednesday that it is on schedule to install its new “Active/Passive Meters” in homes with digital-video recorders starting in December.
In a two-page update, CEO Susan Whiting said the ratings service will start installing the A/P Meters in DVR homes in its “National People Meter” and “Local People Meter” samples, and it will begin reporting data from those homes starting in January.
Nielsen’s national clients will receive three streams of NPM data -- live, same day and live plus seven days -- effective Dec. 26.
Whiting added that Nielsen is continuing to work with the Media Rating Council on a voluntary code of conduct for data-gatherers.
