The Council for Research Excellence -- which will make recommendations on implementing a $2.5 million research-and-development fund created by Nielsen Media Research -- has named Mark Kaline of Ford Motor Co. as its chairman, officials said Friday. Kaline is Ford’s global-media manager.
The council also named Larry Bobo, professor of sociology at Stanford University, to serve as vice chairman
The council’s board plans to hold its second meeting in late July.
