When it comes to TV sales groups, Nickelodeon isn't kidding around.
Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group was the best TV sales organization of 2008, according to "Myers Survey of Advertising Executives on National TV Value and Sales Organization Performance."
The 25th annual survey from Jack Myers Media Business Report, including responses from 250 advertiser and agency executives, marked the first time Nickelodeon was named the leading sales organization.
A total of 38 national TV sales groups were included in the vote, which measures each organization on seven performance attributes. Nickelodeon ranked first in three categories and placed second in two others to grab the top spot in the Myers' rankings.
Rounding out the top five national TV sales organizations, encompassing both broadcast and cable groups: Scripps Networks, The Weather Channel, NBC Universal Cable Networks and Hallmark Channel.
