Nick Ready for Black History Month
Nickelodeon Networks announced its plans for Black History Month Monday.
Flagship network Nickelodeon will air two new Black History Month "Nick News Burps" throughout the month, one on Rosa Parks and the other on the Apollo Theater.
Nickelodeon's Cable in the Classroom fare will include several related episodes of Nick News with Linda Ellerbee, including installments on Martin Luther King Jr., the need for Black History Month, Muhammad Ali and the legacy of slavery.
NickJr.com (www.nickjr.com) will run a special video playlist featuring Little Bill episodes and special shorts.
Noggin's Jack's Big Music Show will feature appearances by Buddy Guy, Yolanda Adams, Guy Davis, Anne Harris, Sweet Honey in the Rock and Jerry Lawson and the Talk of the Town.
And The N will air a three-part encore of Miracle's Boys Friday, Feb. 24-Sunday, Feb. 26 at 9 p.m. (EST).
