Concurrent Computer Corp. announced its new “MediaHawk 4500” high-density video-on-demand server Thursday.
The MediaHawk 4500 -- to be available in the third quarter -- will allow video-service providers to store more than 20,000 hours of on-demand content and enable VOD-ingest rates exceeding 2,500 hours per day, the vendor said.
“The MediaHawk 4500 takes VOD-server capabilities to the next level, delivering significantly improved performance with the utmost in platform reliability, while meeting the stringent economic demands of our customers," Concurrent CEO Gary Trimm said in a prepared statement.
