NBA Replay: TNT Wins Week
With National Basketball Association playoff games representing five of the top 10 shows in primetime, TNT won the primetime-ratings battle for the week ended June 4, topping ESPN and USA Network, which tied for second place, each with a 2.3 rating.
While NBA coverage propelled ESPN and TNT, World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. shows and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit drove USA.
Disney Channel’s 2.1 rating gave it fourth place in primetime, followed by Cartoon Network (1.5); Nick at Nite and Comedy Central (1.4 each); TBS and Lifetime Television (1.3); and FX, Fox News Channel and Hallmark (1.2).
Nickelodeon won the total-day race with a 1.8 rating, followed by Disney (1.4); TNT (1.3); USA and Cartoon (1.2); Lifetime and ESPN (0.9); and TBS and FX (0.8).
The 5.5 rating ESPN pulled for the Miami Heat- Detroit Pistons game May 31 was the top cable show for the week.
