HDNet will air all NASA space shuttle launches through 2010 in HD following a partnership between the network and the government arm.
The agreement covers full live launch and landing broadcast coverage of at least 16 remaining space shuttle missions from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, as well as unmanned rocket launches when feasible, the network said.
In return, HDNet will provide NASA with standard-definition signals of all launch broadcasts for networks not yet HD-equipped.
