NAB Attendance Rebounds, Up 11%

Las Vegas -- It looks as if the convention business is rebounding with the national economy, as the National Association of Broadcasters recorded a solid 11% jump in convention attendees.

Like many conventions, the NAB's was off the past few years, as the economy slowly emerged from recession and recovered from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

According to NAB, attendance at its confab here this year was 97,544, compared with 88,020 in 2003.

The NAB bills its show as the largest electronic-media convention in the world.
