MTVN Ups Digital-Media Drive

MTV Networks created a new executive team to field its global digital-media initiative. The team is charged with providing strategic guidance to the company’s multiplatform brands, driving cross-brand initiatives and sharing best practices in operations, technology and distribution.

MTVN president of global digital media Mika Salmi will oversee the team, which will partner with digital leaders at the company’s various brands and business units.

“We're all about connecting audiences with our content -- and each other -- through immersive environments that span TV, online and wireless,” Salmi said in a prepared statement. “With this team in place, we're poised to deepen our audience connections, reaching them wherever they are, whenever they want and on whatever screen they choose.”

The team includes Denmark West, executive vice president of operations, global digital media; Nicholas Lehman, executive VP and general manager, MTVN games and interactive media group; Kenny Miller, executive VP and creative director, global digital media; Nick Rockwell, senior VP and chief technology officer, digital-media technology; Greg Clayman, senior VP, MTVN mobile media; and Jason Witt, senior VP, online distribution and partnerships, global digital media.

MTVN currently has 32 broadband sites and 139 Web sites in live deployment globally.
