MTV Games wants to ante up at the high-stakes poker table.
The new Viacom Inc. unit is teaming up with Myelin Media LLC on “STACKED with Daniel Negreanu,” a Texas Hold 'Em game scheduled for release this fall.
MTV Games said STACKED will be available for Microsoft Corp.’s “Xbox”; Sony Corp.’s “PlayStation 2” and “PSP (PlayStation Portable)”; and the PC.
Under terms of the deal, MTV Games will participate in a revenue-sharing structure, and MTV.com (www.mtv.com) will serve as the official online site of STACKED on all platforms.
“With the popularity of Texas Hold 'Em as the hottest poker game of choice amongst celebrities, athletes, hard-core and casual players alike, we are looking forward to bringing this new, fun and technically brilliant experience of poker, video games and some of the world's top professional poker players to our extremely savvy audience via various broadcast platforms across, MTV Networks including MTV: Music Television, MTV2, mtvU and much more,” MTVN Music and Logo Enterprise Group executive vice president Jeff Yapp said in a prepared statement.
