MTV To Encore Italian Campaign Before 'Jersey Shore' Fifth-Season Debut

MTV is setting up the fifth season debut of its top series with an extensive lead-in of its favorite GTLers.
Starting at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 5, MTV will air Jersey Shore's entire fourth season from Italy, leading up to the crew's return to Seaside Heights at 10 p.m (ET/PT).
Viewers will see sneak peeks at the several scenes from the upcoming campaign throughout the marathon, which will be highlighted by the full cast hosting a series of wraps, starting at 7:30 p.m. and continuing throughout the premiere. Throwing down in their favorite beach town, America's most recognizable housemates will spend the night at their usual boardwalk restaurant Beachcombers with their friends, families and fans to share their personal stories and preview new footage from the upcoming season.
Following the Jersey Shore bow, MTV at 12:05 a.m. will unveil a sneak peek of its newest docuseries Caged, before it assumes its regular Monday 10 p.m. time slot on Jan. 9. The show will provide an honest look into the lives of young amateur mixed martial arts fighters, both inside and outside of the cage.

Jersey Shore ranks as MTV's top series of all time. Its fourth season averaged a 6.96 rating against the network's broad 12-to-34 target audience, making it television's best show with that demo. Including all DVR playbacks, the fourth season averaged an 8.75 rating against the demo and 9.3 million total viewers weekly, according to network officials.
Viewers also can catch up on the cast's European adventures by purchasing the Jersey Shore Uncensored: Season Four DVD, which is in stores now. Retailing for $26.99, this four-disc set has all 12 uncensored episodes and is packed with must-see bonus features that include deleted scenes, confessionals, "After Hours" specials, plus the Jersey Shore Season 4 Reunion.
