MSG Offers Prize Pack During Coverage Of Henry's MLS Debut

MSG will televise famed futboler Thierry Henry's first Major League Soccer match on Saturday night.
The regional sports network will present Henry in his New York Red Bulls debut against the Houston Dynamo on July 31 at 8:30 p.m. (ET). Shep Messing will serve as analyst for Saturday's telecast, with Steve Cangialosi on the play-by-play. MSG is in its 15th year of televising the Red Bulls/MetroStars, showing 22 of the Red Bulls 31 games this season.
As a bonus, MSG will offer fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the striker, via the "Henry Experience Prize Package." The network will flash an on-screen code, which watchers can then enter at MSG.com to win a package that includes attendance at a training session with the Red Bulls and Henry, four VIP tickets to an upcoming match at Red Bulls Arena and a jersey signed by the player.
A French native, Henry was signed this month by the Red Bulls to a multiyear pact. Henry is a World, European Championship and UEFA Champions League winner, who has tallied 51 international goals. Over the past three campaigns, Henry, who made his primary club mark with Arsenal of the English Premier League, played for FC Barcelona, netting 49 goals. He's been a controversial figure of late: his hand ball pass enabled France to qualify over Ireland for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, where Les Bleus rebelled against and quit on their former coach Raymond Domenech.
Henry scored one goal in his debut for the Red Bulls on July 22 against English Premiership club, Tottenham Hotspur, in the Barclays New York Challenge at Red Bull Arena.
