MSG Media Hires Ex-Joost Exec as Sales EVP

 MSG Media named former and MTV executive David Clark executive vice president, sales, overseeing ad-sales activities at the MSG networks, Fuse and digital assets.

He will be responsible for all advertising sales initiatives, including sponsorships, co-promotions and partnership opportunities for MSG Media's multiple platforms: music network Fuse, sports and entertainment network MSG, regional sports network MSG Plus, and MSG Interactive, which oversees all of Madison Square Garden's wireless and online initiatives.

"David's strong background in marketing combined with his proven success in integrated sales, make him a great fit to lead our MSG Media sales team," MSG Media president Michael Bair said in a statement. "He will work with the sales teams to help maximize opportunities to create customized integration for partners by leveraging our unique media assets, including national network Fuse, regional networks MSG and MSG Plus and our wide array of digital assets."

Clark will work with all MSG Media departments to develop and execute sales strategies and plans. He will work closely with the leaders of Fuse, MSG, MSG Plus and MSG Interactive to strategically leverage their content and create integrated sales initiatives that will differentiate each business in the marketplace and deliver unparalleled value to marketing partners. He will also work to build relationships with advertising agencies and sponsors to expand MSG Media's sales efforts.

Prior to joining MSG Media, Clark was a founding member of, an online aggregator of premium video entertainment, where he held a variety of leadership roles including general manager and executive vice president, marketing and advertising. Joost recently sold its remaining assets to online-advertising firm Adconion Media Group.

Before Joost, Clark was vice president, global marketing partnerships for MTV Networks . He also worked as chief operating officer of, a community and commerce web portal, and held several management positions at Simon & Schuster earlier in his career.
