Managing Change in Virginia

Seizing on a timely topic, the Virginia chapter of Women in Cable & Telecommunications scheduled a discussion with two former Adelphia Communications executives and four labor and careers experts concerning “Taking Control of Change.”

The point of the event is to learn how to keep positive and make smart career and personal choices during changing times.

At the WICT event Thursday, Oct. 12, former Adelphia vice president of law and public policy Nancy Murphy will moderate and former VP and general manager of Ohio systems Pam MacKenzie will be among the speakers. As part of Adelphia’s overall cable-asset sale, systems in Charlottesville and Lynchburg, Va., were transferred to Comcast.

Also on the event roster as speakers are Samantha Otto and Susan Renton, labor-employment lawyers, both with Christian & Barton; and career consultant Terrie Glass and director of professional services Nancy Conkright, both of management-services company Lee Hecht Harrison.
