Let Comcast Find You a Date

Comcast Corp. and HurryDate will launch Dating On Demand to the MSO’s digital-cable subscribers in Philadelphia this summer.

The MSO said the service combines video-on-demand and online dating. HurryDate is an online-dating and "rapid-dating" event company.

Singles will be able to create three- to five-minute Dating On Demand video profiles free-of-charge, directed by professional TV-production crews, at three Philadelphia events, to be held June 30 and July 14 and 21.

Potential suitors can then anonymously and securely contact potential matches seen on Dating On Demand by registering through HurryDate’s Web site (www.hurrydate.com).

Dating On Demand will also air entertaining perspectives on the local Philadelphia singles scene, video-profile bloopers and outtakes, dating disaster stories and a glimpse at HurryDate’s "three-minute-dating" events.

“This service is as close as you can get to meeting someone over a cup of coffee," HurryDate cofounder Adele Testani said in a prepared statement.

“Dating On Demand adds a personal touch to meeting potential dates by presenting 'real singles' -- how they move, how they speak, their true appearance,” Testani added. “Best yet, it all happens in the comfort of your home with the touch of a remote control and the click of a mouse.”
