Jewish Life Television Chosen by Comcast in Chicago, Phladelphia

After launching with Comcast's Freedom region late last month, Jewish Life Television is in the process of rolling out on the cable operator's systems serving the Chicagoland area.
JLTV is currently being added to Comcast systems in greater Chicago and northwest, Ind., including South Bend on channel 686 and on channel 788 in central Illinois, including Springfield. The digital-basic rollout, which will add 2 million Comcast homes, is expected to be completed on Sept. 5, according to officials at "America's Chosen Network."
The Second City environs launch follows the Aug. 29 conclusion of JLTVs month-long rollout in Comcast's Freedom Region, including systems serving greater Philadelphia, including northern Delaware and New Jersey on channel 288, that also bolstered the Jewish-themed network's roster by 2 million homes.

Deal terms were nof disclosed.

"With the addition of these two significant regions in the nation, JLTV is now available on cable in the top five metropolitan areas with the largest Jewish populations in the United States - New York/New Jersey, Los Angeles, South Florida, Philadelphia and Chicago," said Phil Blazer, president and CEO of Jewish Life Television in a statement.
Premiering in December 2006, JLTV is now available in 40 million homes on digital-basic packages nationally on DirecTV and in select markets served by Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, as well as other smaller providers, including Atlantic Broadband.
