Hispanic Television Summit: Conference Attracts Largest-Ever Audience

New York -- The 11th annual Hispanic Television Summit wrapped up with a record audience.

Presented by NewBay Media titles Multichannel News and Broadcasting & Cable, the Oct. 2 event here engaged executives in thoughtful discussions across myriad disciplines pertaining to the burgeoning Latino TV universe.

“The Hispanic Summit was a very exciting event, drawing a record crowd with 528 attendees,” said Louis Hillelson, vice president/group publisher at NewBay Media. “The event has expanded its reach across programming, distribution, production, advertising, marketing and digital and it reflects how much this market is growing. To think, six years ago we had 250 attendees.”

The conference, administered by the Schramm Marketing Group at the Marriott Marquis New York, featured keynote addresses from Joe Uva, chairman, Hispanic Enterprises and Content at NBCUniversal and Paul Presburger, CEO of Pantelion Films and managing director of Televisa USA, as well as awards presentations to Time Warner Cable for Leadership in Hispanic Television and Univision's Maria Elena Salinas for Outstanding Achievement in Hispanic Television.

The 12th annual Summit is already on the drawing board.

“Planning has already begun for 2014 and we look forward to expanding and tapping into new areas of the ever-growing Hispanic television market,” said Hillelson.
