Digital health video network HealthiNation has secured some $7.5 million in series B funding.
The round, led by Intel Capital, also includes funding from previous investor MK Capital.
HealthiNation, which counts 20 million video-on-demand subscribers through deals with a number of distributors, including Comcast, also announced an expansion of its network via partnerships with women’s Web site LifeScript; UCompare Healthcare, part of about.com that provides consumers with ratings about health care services; newspaper publisher Lee Enterprises; Parade Magazine; and Guideposts Magazine.
The new funding will support the company’s growth in programming, ad sales and operations for its core media network along with new offerings for health literacy environments such as employer health programs, hospitals, and health clinics.

In addition to Comcast, HealthiNation is available through VOD services offered by Cox, Charter and Verizon’s FiOS.
