HDNet has executed a long-term extension of its multitransponder agreement with PanAmSat Corp., the two parties said Monday.
Under terms of the deal, PanAmSat’s Galaxy HD platform will continue to deliver HDNet’s feed to cable and direct-broadcast satellite operators through January 2021.
“HDNet was one of our anchor tenants on Galaxy HD, helping to establish the satellite as the premier platform for the distribution of HD programming to U.S. cable and DBS systems,” PanAmSat executive vice president of global sales and marketing Mike Antonovich said in a prepared statement.
