Time Warner Cable has promoted Mark Harrad to senior vice president of corporate communications.
In this role, the cable-industry veteran will continue to lead the company’s corporate-communications functions and will take on a larger role in managing government relations and providing strategic analysis to the executive management team on a wide range of communications issues.
Before joining the MSO in 2002 as VP of corporate communications, Harrad served as VP of public relations at Turner Broadcasting Sales Inc.
Article continues belowHis career -- which began in 1974 as a staff reporter for Broadcasting, now Broadcasting & Cable, a sister publication to Multichannel News -- also includes stints at Viacom Inc., the Motion Picture Association of America, Home Box Office and PBS.
“Mark’s successes in promoting business strategy and gaining Time Warner Cable recognition as a technological leader and consumer-centric company are evident in the positive coverage that has been generated,” executive VP of corporate affairs Lynn Yaeger said in a prepared statement. “His knowledge of the industry and his ability to provide sound guidance is a valuable asset to the department and the company.”
