Starz Entertainment Group LLC has deployed Hewlett-Packard Co.’s “HP Media Storage solution.”
H-P said the programmer will use its wares to store and manage its complete repository of movies and television content.
The vendor added that it initiated the project by working with Starz Entertainment to digitize all of its tape-based content and convert it to an industry-specific file format. The solution will support the programmer’s digital asset environment, which includes content ingestion, repurposing, management and packaging for distribution, H-P said.
