Insight Sports has reached an agreement with GVTC Communications for carriage of the media company's World Fishing Network HD service.
The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, will bring the World Fishing Network HD, the 24-hour fishing lifestyle service, to GVTC customers in the Texas hill country and north San Antonio area.
"We are committed to continue to offer our subscribers a wide selection of special interest channels like WFN HD," said GVTC cable television manager Mike Gross in a statement. "We are pleased that our customers will get to enjoy this innovative network that serves their passion."
Noted WFN president Mark Rubinstein: "There are more than 44 million sport fishing enthusiasts in North America looking for a dedicated television network devoted exclusively to angling and related lifestyle programming. We are delighted that GVTC recognizes WFN HD as a unique offering to satisfy this underserved community of sport and leisure fishing enthusiasts in an around the San Antonio area."
WFN and WFN HD also have carriage pacts with Dish Network, Verizon FiOs and Charter Communications.
