Turner Broadcasting System Inc.’s GameTap broadband-entertainment network is feeling festive.
The network will be the presenting sponsor at the Download Festival, in the San Francisco Bay area at the Shoreline Amphitheater, Saturday, Oct. 8.
Musical headliners will include The Killers, Modest Mouse, Doves, H.I.M. and Arcade Fire.
Visitors to GameTap's “Game Den” will be among the first to see some of the games that will be available on GameTap at launch.
“The Download Festival audience is uniquely plugged in to the latest technology and uniquely passionate about the music they love," Clear Channel Entertainment Properties president Bruce Eskowitz said in a prepared statement. “That means sponsors have the opportunity to connect brands with truly meaningful experiences on multiple platforms for a highly influential audience.”
