FSN's 'Sports Science' Back In Session

The second semester of FSN’s Sports Science will commence next month.

The series, set to return March 16 at 9 p.m. on FSN’s various owned and affiliated regional sports networks, deploys motion-capture technology to gauge velocity and aerodynamics to provide a better understanding of how athletes move. That mechanism is complemented by CGI imagery, high-speed cameras and pressure censors to see how the athletes measure up, relative to impact and reaction times.

National Football League quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Leinart, women’s soccer’s Abby Wambach, hockey’s Alexander Ovechkin, NBAers Jason Kapono and Jordan Farmar and Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed-martial arts champ Rampage Jackson are all expected to appear this season.

An edited version of the Sports Science, created by FSN and BASE Productions, is available through Cable in the Classroom.
