Four More Languages for

ESPN announced that it will launch ( in French, Italian, German and Spanish by year-end.

The English-language version will also sport a new look, the network said.

“The growth of our international and new-media assets are of paramount important to our company,” ESPN and ABC Sports president and Disney Media Networks co-chairman George Bodenheimer said in a prepared statement.

“The passion for international soccer is extraordinary, and we are dedicated to serving that passion,” he added. “Expanding our leading coverage of the world’s most popular sport online, coupled with our commitment to the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League, illustrates our overall focus and commitment to international soccer, to new media and to international growth.”
