Giving Comcast a run for its money, Verizon Communications said it launched its FiOS TV product in Lynn, Marlborough and Needham, Mass.
The rollouts, including Lynn, its largest franchise to date, will put the FiOS TV service in front of an additional 40,000 households.
Verizon said it now passes 177,000 households in Massachusetts with its FiOS TV service.
The telco also won video franchises this week Georgetown and Littleton, Mass. Verizon has won franchises in 35 Massachusetts communities to date.
