ESPN’s Erhardt Named CAB Chairman
Top ESPN sales executive Edward Erhardt was named chairman of the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau, the industry trade group said.
Erhardt, president of ESPN customer marketing and sales, succeeds Comcast Spotlight president Charles Thurston as CAB chairman.
The CAB also ratified a slate of officers at its annual meeting Wednesday. New board members include Time Warner Cable president of media sales Joan Gillman, Suddenlink Communications senior vice president Kevin Stephens and Turner Broadcasting System executive vice president Barry Fischer.
In addition to Erhardt, who was named chairman, the board includes Cox Media’s Billy Farina (vice chairman), Lifetime Networks’ Lynn Picard (vice chairwoman), Insight Communications senior VP of advertising Kevin Dowell (treasurer) and Thurston (secretary).
