ESPN Misses Football

Led by its World Wrestling Entertainment programming, USA Network won the primetime-ratings battle for the week ending Feb. 4.
ESPN -- which led the cable-ratings war most weeks of the fall season thanks to the success of Monday Night Football -- dropped back to a tie for 15th place in primetime without pigskin coverage.
Disney Channel placed second in primetime, averaging a 1.9 rating. It was followed by TNT (1.7); Lifetime Television (1.5); A&E Network (1.4); Fox News Channel and Nick at Nite (1.3); TBS and Cartoon Network (1.2); and FX, Court TV and Hallmark Channel (1.1).
Nickelodeon won the total-day period, averaging a 1.9 rating. It was followed by Disney, (1.2); TNT and USA (1.1); Cartoon (1.0); Lifetime and A&E (0.9); and TBS and Fox News (0.8).
