Citizens Communications Co.’s Frontier Communications will provide EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network direct-broadcast satellite services under terms of a deal announced Wednesday.
Frontier provides communications services to Rochester, N.Y., and nearby rural areas and small and midsized towns and cities.
“This relationship strengthens our market position by putting in place the video component of a ‘triple-play’ offering of telephone, television and high-speed Internet,” Citizens CEO Maggie Wilderotter said in a prepared statement.
“We can now offer our customers a competitively priced, high-quality digital-television service that is ranked No. 1 in customer satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates,” she added.
