Duke Rape Case Hearing on Court TV Extra

Court TV Extra (www.courttv.com/extra) will stream a pretrial hearing in the Duke University rape case live in its entirety Thursday.

The hearing, from the Durham County Courtroom courthouse in Durham, N.C., is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. (EST).

In Thursday’s courtroom action, Duke lacrosse player Reade Seligmann will come before a judge for a pretrial hearing stemming from the alleged rape of a woman at a lacrosse-team party March 14. According to Court TV, Seligmann's lawyer, Kirk Osborn, is expected to ask for a variety of prosecution records, including the cellular-phone logs of Seligmann's accuser.

Seligmann and another Duke lacrosse player, Collin Finnerty, were indicted last month on charges of first-degree forcible rape, sexual offense and kidnapping. A third player, co-captain David Evans, was indicted Monday on the same charges. All have denied any role in the alleged rape.

As for the linear cable network, Court TV News will cover the hearing live, with correspondent Beth Karas reporting from Durham.
