Disney Inks Multiplatform Renewal with NTTC

The Walt Disney Co. has reached a comprehensive, multiplatform renewal agreement with the National Telco Television Consortium.

Under the expanded pact, financial terms of which were not disclosed, National Telco Television Consortium members will be able to provide an array of sports, news and entertainment fare to their subscribers across TVs, computers, smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles and connected devices.

Through this master agreement, NTTC members can opt into the Disney services provided that they meet compliance requirements included in the deal with each programmer across their channel lineups.

As part of the new multiyear deal, the NTTC will introduce several new services, including the full suite of Disney’s authenticated WATCH products, the upcoming SEC Network, Longhorn Network, ad hoc scoring and highlight services ESPN Goal Line, ESPN Buzzer Beater and video-on-demand products.  NTTC members will continue to offer ABC Family, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Deportes, ESPNEWS, ESPN Classic, ESPN3 and Fusion, the joint venture service with Univision, to its members across the country.

NTTC members’ customers will receive broad TV Everywhere access to extant authenticated products like WATCH ABC authenticated on-demand content, WATCH ABC Family, WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney Junior, WATCH Disney XD and WatchESPN (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU, ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater) through the networks’ own WATCH sites and apps
