Dish to Offer Sportsman Channel Preview

Dish Network will  offer a free preview of outdoor sports channel the Sportsman Network beginning April 7, giving the satellite TV provider’s customers a glimpse into shows like Major League Bowhunter, Pigman: the Series and Skull Bound TV.   

The preview is the second one for Sportsman Channel parent Outdoor Sportsman Group – Networks – its World Fishing Network started its free preview on the satellite service on March 18 and runs until May 11. The Sportsman Channel preview, which also ends May 11, also will allow Dish customers to access full episodes of select programming on demand on Channel 102.

A free preview of World Fishing Network also will be available on select cable, satellite and telco providers beginning April 1 and ending April 30.

In-FishermanTV – Hall of Fame Angler and In-Fisherman Editor-In-Chief Doug Stange leads In-Fisherman staff members on a quest for fishing action from across North America.

o   Major League Bowhunter – Hosts Jeff Danker, former pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals Matt Duff and former Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones take viewers through an entire season of deer hunting successes and failures.

o   Pigman: The Series – The series follows the story of Brian “Pigman” Quaca, a true-blue original character, given to a rough and tough hunting lifestyle.

o   Skull BoundTV – Follow host Jana Waller as she travels the world in search of her next hunting adventure.

·         World Fishing Network

o   Major League Fishing All Angles presented by General Tire An exciting series telling the story of Major League Fishing’s bass fishing competition from a whole new perspective.

o   Timmy Horton Outdoors – An educational fishing show focused on America’s favorite game fish: the black bass.

o   Bass 2 Billfish with Peter Miller – Join professional angler and three-time World Sailfish Champion Peter Miller as he takes guests on once-in-a-lifetime fishing experiences throughout Florida.

o   World Fishing Journal – Brings together a roster of talented sports producers to craft engaging, story-driven features based on the angling community.
