EchoStar Communications Corp. said Thursday that its Dish Network direct-broadcast satellite service now offers local channels in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Dish reached the milestone with Thursday’s launch of local channels in Cheyenne, Wyo., bringing its total number of local-service markets to 127.
“We are thrilled to achieve this milestone, providing service at a national level nearly unimaginable six years ago," EchoStar chairman and CEO Charles Ergen said in a prepared statement.
The announcement was made at EchoStar’s annual Team Summit retailers' conference, which kicked off Thursday in Dallas.
