EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network said Thursday that it will offer local channels via satellite in Puerto Rico.
Subscribers there will get local channels, along with New York local channels, as part of packages starting as low as $29.99 per month.
Local channels available via Dish will be Aerco channel 30 (WSJU), TuTv channels 6 and 3 (WIPR), Telemundo channel 2 (WKAQ) and Televicentro channel 4 (WAPA).
They join New York channels ABC channel 7 (WABC), CBS channel 2 (WCBS), Fox channel 5 (WNYW) and NBC channel 4 (WNBC).
In addition to Puerto Rico, Dish now offers local channels in 143 markets in 50 states and the District of Columbia.
