Dish CFO Swain Steps Down

Dish Network said its senior vice president and chief financial officer Steve Swain will step down, effective Aug. 22. Swain, who joined Dish in 2011, will also resign as principal financial officer for both Dish Network and Dish DBS.

Dish SVP and chief accounting officer Paul Orban was designated by the board of directors as principal financial officer for Dish Network and Dish DBS in Swain’s place.

Swain joined Dish in 2011 as vice president of corporate financial planning and analysis and served several roles within the company, including SVP of programming. He was named CFO in 2014.  Prior to Dish, Swain spent more than 15 years in the telecommunications sector, most recently serving in financial leadership roles at CenturyLink.
