Dish Adds Centroamerica TV

Centroamerica TV will be added to EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network’s “Dish Latino” programming packages Sept. 15, the direct-broadcast satellite provider said Thursday.

Media World LLC’s Centroamerica TV is a 24-hour, U.S.-based network targeted toward the millions of Central Americans living in the United States.

The network features programming such as news, novelas, talk shows, series, music, culture and soccer from countries including El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.

It will join the Dish Latino, “Dish Latino Dos” and “Dish Latino Max” packages at no extra charge, EchoStar said.

“We are pleased to be the first and only company to offer Centroamerica TV in the United States,” EchoStar executive vice president of marketing and programming Michael Schwimmer said in a prepared statement.
