Dish Network said it has received an extension in its talks with Citadel Communications’ Providence, R.I., ABC affiliate WLNE-TV (ABC6) to 7 p.m. on Aug. 23.
Dish had warned customers that its retransmission consent deal with WLNE was set to expire at 7 p.m. on Aug. 18, and had been doling out antennas to allow customers to watch the station over the air in case it was unable to reach a deal. In a statement, Dish said the extension will ensure uninterrupted access to the channel as talks continue.
