Discovery en EspañolProvides '2111' Look At Latin America

Curious to gander at what Latin America may look like a century from now? Discovery en Español will provide some projected glances during its upcoming six-part production, 2111.
Bowing on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. on Discovery en Español, 2111 melds the latest in 3D and CGI technologies to show what major cities in Latin America may look 100 years from now, what forms of energy and transportation could be in use and how everyday citizens may go about the business of their daily lives.
An original production from Discovery Latin America/U.S. Hispanic under the direction of Michela Giorelli, Rafael Rodriguez and Irune Ariztoy, the series, which will air on Saturdays in the aforementioned time slot, is narrated by Mexican journalist Idzi Dutkiewicz .
2111 aspires to uncover the tomorrows of Mexico City, Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo and Buenos Airies by exploring clues that exist in the present, associated with surprising and modernist projects of the Latin America of the future. Each episode focuses on a specific theme, beginning with architecture and urban planning (Nov. 19); health and well-being (Nov. 26); transportation and energy (Dec. 3); daily life (Dec. 10); work and education (Dec. 17); and entertainment (Dec. 17 at 9 p.m.).

The state-of-the-art series has attracted American Airlines, Samsung, Oracle, Bridgestone and FedEx, whose brands will be featured in appropriate environments.
"As we continue to increase our slate of originals, 2111 is just one of the breakthrough productions that viewers can expect and that offer advertisers unparalleled opportunities," said Victor Parada, vice president, advertising sales Discovery U.S. Hispanic, in a statement.
