DirecTV Inc. executive vice president of programming Stephanie Campbell is retiring effective March 1, according to company officials.
Campbell, 56, has been at the direct-broadcast satellite company since 1994, and she was part of its launch team.
A DirecTV spokesman said Tuesday that Campbell -- a veteran of Taft Broadcasting Co. LLC and the ad-agency business -- is retiring and plans to travel extensively. Campbell couldn’t be reached for comment.
No decision has been made about Campbell’s replacement, according to the spokesman.
Campbell was responsible for the planning, acquisition and scheduling of DirecTV’s programming, as well as managing ad sales.
