Championship Gaming Serieswill debut on The 101, DirecTV’s original entertainment channel, July 9, with a new pair of two-hour shows each week, all airing live.
CGS bills itself as the first international professional video-gaming league.
The league’s inaugural season hits the on switch with the national combine events June 9-11 at the Fox Studios in Los Angeles, followed by the league draft June 12 at the Playboy Mansion. Coverage of these events will also air on The 101 in a special preseason special, CGS said.
