DirecTV said it expanded the scope of and extended its relationship with Amdocs until 2012.
Amdocs will continue to provide the direct-broadcast satellite service with customer-facing business-support systems, such as billing and customer management, as well as providing consulting services, and the two companies will work to enhance DirecTV’s network-facing operations-support systems and integrate its BSS and OSS systems to enable the delivery of services including interactive-television and advanced broadband services.
“Amdocs has been our trusted partner since we jointly began serving the first DirecTV customer," DirecTV executive vice president and chief information officer Mike Benson said in a prepared statement.
