DirecTV Adds Three Korean Nets
DirecTV Inc. added three Korean-language networks to its programming lineup.
The three new services are: MBC, which offers programs such as news, sports, cultural programs, variety shows, drama, comedy and documentaries; 24-hour Korean news channel YTN; and gospel network Christian Television Systems.
MBC and YTN join SBS -- which offers a variety of programming including news, hit dramas and soaps, celebrity talk shows and sports programming, and which launched on the direct-broadcast satellite provider’s “WorldDirect” platform last year -- on DirecTV’s new “KoreanDirect” package, currently available nationwide for $26.99 per month.
CTS will be available on an a la carte basis for $4.99 per month.
