Cox Taps Telcordia for Database Help
By Matt Stump published
Telcordia Technologies Inc. said Cox Communications Inc. has purchased its Intelligent Service Creation Platform (ISCP) database-management system, which will help the MSO deploy advanced services.
"The Telcordia ISCP system will enable us to maximize our database management and streamline our network-services delivery process, resulting in increased efficiencies, reduced costs and the opportunity to generate additional revenue," Cox director of network switching Bill Dame said in a statement.
Cox said the decision means all its database activities will be moved in-house.
It will offer toll-free and calling-name services independently, rather than incurring outsourcing costs.
