Nuera Communications Inc. said Cox Communications Inc. has signed a multiyear deal to use the company’s media gateway for its voice-over-Internet-protocol rollouts.
Cox has launched VoIP in Roanoke, Va., using Nuera gear, the company said.
MSO president Jim Robbins told analysts Friday that Cox plans to roll out VoIP in three to four markets later this year. As for Roanoke, he added, “It is working very well.”
