Eric Weiss joined Covad Communications Group as chief marketing officer.
Weiss had been an executive in residence for the telecommunications practice at private-equity firm Warburg Pincus.
At the provider of integrated voice and data communications, he will lead the effort to accelerate revenue growth from new and existing service offerings and marketing initiatives, overseeing marketing, product management and product strategy.
Weiss reports to CEO Charles Hoffman.
