Spanish-language cable-programming aggregator Condista reached carriage deals with Charter Communications Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc.
Charter systems now have access to six networks represented by Condista: Infinito, HTV Musica, Video Rola, AYM Sports, Ultilisima and HITN. The networks are available on the MSO’s systems in Los Angeles and Riverside, Calif., and central California; Washington; Reno, Nev.; and Fort Worth, Texas.
As for Verizon, the regional Bell operating company added Cine Latino, SUR, Infinito and TVE to the Spanish-language tier on its Verizon FiOS TV offering when it launched in Keller, Texas, Sept. 21.
“Both of these companies recognize the need for original Spanish-language programming in order to grow their business in the Hispanic market,” Condista partner Burke Berendes said in a prepared statement.
