ComSpan Bandon Networks Goes IPTV

ComSpan Bandon Networks LLC will launch Internet-protocol-TV service with help from Tut Systems Inc., Kasenna Inc. and SecureMedia Inc.
The competitive local telecommunications operator, based in Roseburg, Ore., will use Tut’s “Astria” content-processor platform; Kasenna's “LivingRoom” middleware platform and “MediaBase” video servers; and SecureMedia's “Encryptonite ONE System” conditional-access/digital-rights-management software for broadcast and video-on-demand content security.
The company said it will initially launch its IPTV service in Bandon, Ore.
