Comcast, NBC U Strike VOD Deal

Comcast Corp. will add broadcast and cable fare from NBC Universal to its video-on-demand service starting in May following an agreement between the two companies, announced Thursday.

Shows that will initially be added to Comcast On Demand are: NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, L&O: Criminal Intent, The Office, Las Vegas, Conviction, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Passions; USA Network’s Monk; Sci Fi Channel’s Battlestar Galactica and Ghost Hunters; and Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown.

Comcast said the NBC primetime fare will be available to its digital-cable subscribers as early as midnight following their broadcast for 99 cents each, while NBC daytime and late-night and cable fare will be available free-of-charge.
