Comcast Changes Time for Q1 Earnings Call

Comcast said Friday that in order to give friends and colleagues the opportunity to attend funeral services of the late former co-chief financial officer Larry Smith, it will change the time of its scheduled first quarter earnings conference call to 7:30 a.m. EST on May 4.

Smith, 67, died on April 28. He had been co-CFO of Comcast for 18 years, retiring in 2006.

The Smith family will receive friends from 6:00-8:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, and again from 8:30-10:15 a.m. on Monday, May 4 at Central Schwenkfelder Church, 2111 Valley Forge Rd., Lansdale, PA. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the church followed by interment in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry's memory to The Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA and the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation.

The conference call had originally been scheduled for 8:30 a.m. May 4. Comcast said it would issue a press release reporting its results at 6 a.m. EST that same day.
